Our accommodation
Sanctuary@Waratah offers deluxe bed & breakfast accommodation in a self-contained cottage on a 2.5-acre rural property overlooking Wilson's Promontory National Park and 5 minutes' drive from Waratah Bay.
Completed in February 2012, this stand alone two-bedroomed residence is positioned to make the most of spectacular views over Shallow Inlet, with Wilson's Prom in the distance.
The stylish fit out and furnishings are of the highest quality, making it the perfect place to relax, unwind and reconnect with whatever and whomever, is most important to you.
Thoughtfully designed, the accommodation is centered around a spacious living area, featuring high ceilings, lots of natural light, polished floor boards, Persian rugs, wood-burning stove and comfy couches on which to curl up and read, watch a DVD, listen to music or just do nothing at all. Then there is the view from the dining table framed by a huge picture window. A kitchenette is equipped with coffee machine, sandwich press, microwave and fridge and there is access to a gas BBQ.
The two bedrooms, each distinctively decorated and with a King size bed dressed with quality bed linen - cotton for summer and fleecy for winter – both open out through French doors onto the verandah.
A central bathroom has a walk-in shower, with ample supplies of rain water, a heated towel rail and plenty of generously-sized towels, along with small home-from-home touches like a hair towel and hair dryer.
With double glazing throughout and wool insulation in the walls and roof space, the building is kept cool in summer and warm in winter. The generous covered verandah wraps right around the cottage, always making it possible to find just the right spot to sit out with a cup of coffee and the weekend papers or a glass of wine and a platter of South Gippsland cheese.
